Home > Comedians > Steven Davidson STEVEN DAVIDSON Steven Davidson is from Edinburgh in Scotland. He produced and starred in the sellout Edinburgh Festival Fringe Stand Up Show 'Live At The Hive' alongside Kiwi hero Simon McKinney in August 2004. On his current tiny world tour, he has played glorious gigs in Seattle, Sydney (winning a heat of RAW Australia at the Comedy Store and then retiring unbeaten without bothering to turn up for the next round) and Adelaide. Since settling in a huge mansion on the outskirts of Wellington, he and Kathy Franks have set up 'The Green Room', a new comedy talent night for petrified newcomers at Kitty O'Shea's on Courtenay Place, which allows locals to fly in the air like eagles of laughter or collapse in the mud like sleepy cattle of silence. Steven also appears regulary at the Wellington Comedy Club, a magical and cheery temple of mirth. Davidson is said by some to be a genius, and if pushed he would agree with this judgement by vigorously nodding his head. Tis that time again when the comedy wind blows along Courtenay Place and up the stairs of Kitty O'Shea's, becoming a veritable gale when it reaches the hallowed stage. Full Details below of this quite incredible evening of cheer... Wellington's fantastic comedy night for beginners reaches hilarity fever pitch, with the final heartbreaking appearance of regular Scottish MC Steven Davidson (uproarious laughter and applause - Edinburgh Evening News) and the wondrous Simon McKinney (definitely one to catch - The List) being helicoptered in from Auckland to Headline alongside six terrified but brave newcomers. Triumph and disaster is guaranteed. Dates & Times: Sunday 11 September 2005 Doors 1900, Show starts 2000 Cost: $8 Glowing Reviews: The Green Room’ information:
